Cullen Brody, as portrayed by Noah Wyle

Physical Description

Cullen looks very much like a darker haired and eyed version of Noah Wyle. Though a few girls he's acquainted with have gone so far as to admit he's "cute", Cullen doesn't turn as many heads as he'd like. Cullen tends to dress in a decidedly average way, to go with his average height and build, most often opting to wear simple t-shirts, Levi's jeans and Doc Martin's. Don't be surprised, though, if Cullen starts showing up wearing a leather jacket and a fedora. ;~)
Age = 16, Gender = Male, Height = 5'11", Weight = 145 lbs., Build = average, Hair = dark brown, Eyes = brown, Skintone = fair

Personality

Cullen is a teen without a clique. Though well-liked by just about everyone he meets, Cullen isn't enough of a jock to hang out with the athletes, isn't enough of a geek to hang out with the nerds, isn't good looking enough to score a steady stream of dates, and is just silly and mouthy enough to fail at being the darling of the teaching and administrative staff at his high school. Cullen regards this as all just fine, since it means that aside from the occassional longing for a romantic relationship with a cute girl (coupled with his shyness at asking girls out on dates) his life is largely free of the teen angst that bothers so many of his friends and classmates.

Cullen also gets along well with his family, even accounting for what his father regards as a certain eccentricity of Cullen's; his interest in the exploits of a certain Dr. Henry Jones, an associate of Cullen's (great?) grandfather, Marcus Brody.

Current Status

Cullen is starting his sophomore year at his high school after a rather peculiar end to his freshman year in which he discovered that his friend since middle school, Samantha Grey, is something called a "Slayer", another classmate of his is a (really gorgeous) witch, (though she remains reluctant to admit it even though she killed a demon by telekinetically beheading it with a piece of glass while in detention) and the Englishman who does part-time librarian duty at the school and owns a nearby occult bookstore is something called a "Watcher".

After a summer vacation of training with Mr. McPhearson, Faye and Sam, Cullen thinks he's ready to help tackle the undead encroaching on his school and town.

Additional Notes

Cullen's dabbling in SCA heavy combat, along with Mr. McPhearson's training, have helped him prepare for the coming school year of undead fighting. Being something of a Tolkien fanboy, Cullen typically arms himself for vampire hunting with a replica of Narsil. (Cullen also wears a replica of the Ring of Barahir. Aragorn is his hero.)

In game continuity it's stipulated that the events of the various Indiana Jones films actually happened and that Cullen is the grandson or great-grandson of Marcus Brody. Cullen has maintained correspondance with descendants of the Jones family, as well as with the descendants of Dr. Jones' Egyptian friend Sallah and the Ravenwoods. Part of what this means is that Cullen may, on occassion, have access to unusual archaeological/occult information which can be of use to the gang. It also means he many know things that could put himself and the gang in danger. (Though despite the title of this HTML file, Cullen doesn't know where the Ark is... yet.)

Cullen's theme song is Black Sabbath's Falling Off the Edge of the World. ( 6.9MB MP3 )
